Silverado Highland Park Memory Care Community accused of failing to prevent fall

CHICAGO — A woman's representative is suing Silverado Highland Park Memory Care Community and two nurses, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Phoebe Solomon, by her duly appointed power of attorney Karen Sundheim,filed a complaint on Nov. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Solomon.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Solomon sustained physical injuries in connection with a fall, including a deep laceration to her left hand and a broken wrist. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision to Solomon in order to make sure that she didn't suffer a fall.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Matthew I. Baker of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates, P.C. in Chicago.
