CHICAGO — A client is suing attorney Robert Cisneros, citing alleged breach of contract and negligence in a real estate transaction.
Nestor Mathew Montalvo filed a complaint on Nov. 23 in Cook County Circuit Court against Cisneros, alleging the attorney failed to properly advise the plaintiff not to proceed with a real estate closing.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, he intended to buy a condominium, but instead received title to a small brick garage. The plaintiff holds Cisneros responsible for allegedly failing to inform him of the risk he was taking by proceeding with the real estate deal.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount not less than $80,000, plus court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Raymond J. Ostler of Gomberg, Sharfman Gold & Ostler, P.C. in Chicago.
