CHICAGO – A father alleges his minor son was injured at a Chicago restaurant by a metal vent that fell on the child's hand.

Samuel Ocampo filed a complaint on behalf of his son on Nov. 22 in Cook County Circuit Court against Asia Seafood Buffet Inc., doing business as Asia Buffet & Grill, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in August 2015, Ocampo alleges his son sustained physical injuries to his hand and fingers when a metal vent in the ceiling of the defendant's property fell and landed on his hand, which allegedly occurred, in part, because the restaurant allegedly failed to properly install the vents and failed to warn patrons.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more $50,000 plus interest, court costs and any further relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Michael C. Jimenez of Consume Law Group LLC in Chicago.
