Glenview Terrace Nursing Center, others accused of negligence in man's care

CHICAGO — A deceased man's family has filed a wrongful death claim alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Shamiram Joseph, independent administrator of the estate of Paul Joseph, filed a complaint on Dec. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court against Glenview Terrace Nursing Center; AK Care Inc.; JLR Financial Services Corp.; and several individuals, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Paul Joseph.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Joseph suffered from dehydration and pneumonia, contributing to his death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to Joseph and to assess his overall health condition on a regular basis.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that will satisfy the jurisdictional limits of this court plus any further relief this court grants.The plaintiff is represented by Michael Silverman of Horwitz, Horwitz and Associates, Ltd. in Chicago.
