CHICAGO — A woman is suing Nick & Howard L.L.C., which operates The Underground Chicago, alleging negligence and battery.

Tina Mitrou filed a complaint on Dec. 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against The Underground, alleging the tavern operator failed to keep its floor clear of spilled substances and that a tavern employee was violent to her.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in March, she sustained physical injuries when she slipped and fell on a wet substance on the floor of the tavern and then was picked up and thrown onto a couch. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for the alleged fall and battery.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000, plus court costs. She is represented by Guy Delson Geleerd Jr. in Chicago.
