Law money 13

CHICAGO — A patient is suing Global Pain and Spine Clinic and Peter Slavin, D.C., alleging the chiropractic practice did not properly obtain his consent before performing a procedure which cracked one of his ribs.

Andrzej Stajer filed a complaint on Dec. 9 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging, in 2014, he was being treated by Slavin when he felt pain and heard a cracking sound in his chest. He alleged he later found he had a rib fracture. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to properly obtain informed consent from the plaintiff in connection with his care.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Beata Bukranova of A Law Team in Rolling Meadows.
