Man blames hypoxia, infection on Loyola University Medical Center; case dismissed by agreement

UPDATE: Cook County court records indicate this case was dismissed by agreement on Feb. 27, 2017.

CHICAGO — A patient is suing Loyola University Medical Center, alleging negligence in medical care.

David M. Schultz filed a complaint on Dec. 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against Loyola University Medical Center, alleging that the hospital failed to provide him with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered from a vocal cord injury, hyopoxia and a post-operative infection allegedly caused by the defendants' alleged failure to take proper steps to avoid those complications.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages. He is represented by David W. Hepplewhite, P.C. in Chicago.
