Family's wrongful death suit: Skokie, Evanston hospitals, doctors, didn't properly diagnose stroke

CHICAGO – A deceased man's family has sued Skokie and Evanston hospitals and a number of doctors for wrongful death, alleging the man was misdiagnosed.

Lily Delgado, individually and as administrator of the estate of Cornelio Delgado, filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court against Northshore University Health System, which operates Skokie Hospital and Evanston Hospital; Northshore Medical Group; and doctors Michael Wahl, Noam Stadlan, Akbar Ali and Angela Mark,   alleging wrongful death

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Delgado experienced stroke symptoms in December 2014 and later died from undiagnosed complications. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to properly evaluate Delgado's overall condition and provide the necessary treatment.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $100,000. She is represented by Edward G. Proctor Jr. of Munday & Nathan in Chicago.
