Resident accuses Brentwood Sub-Acute Healthcare Center of negligent care

CHICAGO – A Burbank long-term care facility resident alleges negligent care caused her to develop pressure sores.

Christine Holmes filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court against the Brentwood Sub-Acute Healthcare Center, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she experienced pain from having developed pressure sores while under the defendant's care. The plaintiff holds Brentwood responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to the plaintiff to prevent her from developing pressure sores.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $50,000, plus court costs. She is represented by Andrew J. Thut and Caroleann S. Gallagher of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
