Brentwood Sub-Acute Healthcare Center, others face allegation of failing to properly supervise

CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased man's estate has filed a wrongful death claim against Brentwood Sub-Acute Healthcare Center and other affiliated entities, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Darlene Fletcher, as independent administrator of the estate of Arnie Loving, filed a complaint on Dec. 16 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Loving.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Arnie Loving developed pressure ulcers that contributed to his death, and the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to Loving to prevent the development of pressure ulcers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Michael T. Mertz and Brian J. Holmes of Hurley McKenna & Mertz, P.C. in Chicago.
