CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased woman's estate has filed a wrongful death claim against Warren Barr Living & Rehab Center, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Nancy Franklin, as independent administrator of the estate of Ruth Brown, filed a complaint on Dec. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendant, alleging that the nursing facility failed to provide proper care to Brown.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Brown suffered from the development of pressure ulcers that contributed to her death. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision to Brown to prevent the development of pressure ulcers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Matthew K. Henry of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman in Chicago.
