CHICAGO — A deceased man's family has filed a wrongful death claim against Glenview Terrace Nursing Center and certain nurses employed there, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Deborah Landsman, as independent executor of the estate of Ben Landsman, filed a complaint on Dec. 29 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to provide Ben Landsman with proper care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Landsman suffered a fall that caused a right femoral neck fracture and a brain contusion, which contributed to his death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate assistance and implement a care plan to address Landsman's risk of falling.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Susan Novosad of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
