CHICAGO — A woman is suing Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, alleging negligence, liability and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries, after she was allegedly struck by a power-assisted door at the hospital.

Geraldine Driver filed a complaint on Jan. 3 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendant, alleging the hospital failed to properly maintain a set of power assisted doors on its premises.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 5, she suffered physical injuries from being violently struck by a power assisted door. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for the alleged hazardous condition and failure to warn.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for medical expenses, general damages, and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Goldstein, Fluxgold & Baron, P.C. in Chicago.
