CHICAGO - A woman is suing Rush University Medical Center radiologists, alleging medical malpractice led to her kidney problems.
Gabriella Heredia filed a complaint Jan. 5 in Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. Vivek Mishra, Dr. Sudheer Paruchuri, Affiliated Radiologists SC and Rush University Medical Center, alleging failure to properly perform a trans-jugular kidney biopsy.
According to the complaint, Heredia suffered serious physical injuries following the kidney biopsy in 2009. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to treat the infection that occurred after the biopsy.
Heredia seeks trial by jury and judgment against each defendant for more than $50,000. She is represented by attorney Dennis Schoen of Chicago.
