Patient alleges Northwestern Memorial failed to provide proper care

CHICAGO — A patient is suing Northwestern Memorial Hospital, alleging the defendant's negligence led to ulcer problems for the plaintiff.

Kory Leifheit filed a lawsuit Jan. 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against the hospital, alleging failure to provide proper medical care.

According to the complaint, Leifheit experienced pain from having developed pressure ulcers. The plaintiff alleges Northwestern Memorial failed to provide timely treatment to the plaintiff's pressure ulcer while a patient there for more than two months in 2015.

Leifheit seeks judgment of more than $50,000, plus court costs. He is represented by attorneys Jordan S. Powell and Andrew R. Manno of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
