CHICAGO — A woman's family is suing Pinnacle Inc., which does business as Glenlake Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Glen Health and Home Management Inc., alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Melvin Hampton, as attorney-in-fact for Thelma Hampton, filed a complaint on Jan. 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to provide proper care to Thelma Hampton.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Thelma Hampton suffered multiple falls including one causing a hip fracture that required surgery. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to implement a care plan to address Hampton's risk of falling.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Susan L. Novosad and Caroleann S. Gallagher of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
