CHICAGO — A deceased woman's famly has filed a wrongful death claim against Alden Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Inc. and a nurse, alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Steven Lucas, as independent administrator of the estate of Anna Lucas, filed a complaint Jan. 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to provide proper care to Anna Lucas.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Lucas suffered from the development of a pressure ulcer that contributed to her death. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to provide adequate supervision to Lucas to prevent the development of a pressure sore or to provide immediate treatment.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Jordan S. Powell and Caroleann S. Gallagher of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
