CHICAGO — A man is suing V&A Drywall Inc. and RAO Construction LLC, alleging they didn't do enough to prevent him from falling from a ladder while on the job.

Jose Davila filed a complaint on Jan. 19 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to properly maintain the ladder being used by their workers.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 22, he sustained physical injuries when he was working as a drywall hanger and fell from a ladder at a construction site. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for the alleged hazardous condition of the ladder and failure to warn.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Jeffrey S. Deutschman of Deutschman & Associates, P.C. in Chicago.
