Advocate South Suburban Hospital accused of failing to prevent pressure sores

CHICAGO — A patient is suing Advocate South Suburban Hospital, alleging negligence in medial care.

Otis Hillard filed a complaint on Jan. 23 in Cook County Circuit Court against South Suburban Hospital, alleging the hospital failed to provide him with proper care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he experienced pain from the development of pressure sores. The plaintiff holds the hospital responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate assistance to the plaintiff to help him with turning or repositioning to avoid the development of pressure sores.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Michael F. Bonamarte and Jared M. Reynolds of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
