CHICAGO — A man is suing Letts Investment Realty Inc., J&A Investments LLC, and entities affiliated with each corporation, alleging he was injured when a ceiling tile fell on his head.

Joshua Jones filed a complaint on Jan. 23 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to inspect and properly maintain the premises for any defects that could cause injuries to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 20, 2012, when he was a minor, he sustained physical injuries when a loose ceiling tile fell on his head in an apartment owned or managed by the defendants.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. He is represented by Alan H. Bender of Goldstein, Bender & Romanoff in Chicago.
