CHICAGO — A woman is suing Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, of Chicago; doctors Joao Ubatuba, John Mitchell and Lawrence Steinberg; CVT Surgeons, Ltd.; Northstar Anesthesia of Illinois LLC and associated entities; and RM Anesthesia LLC, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.
Mabel Kindle, the independent executor of the estate of Tisha Kindle, filed a complaint on Jan. 23 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to provide proper medical care and assistance to Tisha Kindle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Kindle suffered serious physical injuries, including an acute quadriplegia, which contributed to the deterioration of her health. She holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to evaluate the overall health condition of Tisha Kindle, including recognizing cervical spinal stenosis and hypotensive crisis, which were left untreated.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants of at least $50,000. She is represented by Edward W. McNabola and Terrance M. Nofsinger of McNabola & Associates, LLC in Chicago.
