CHICAGO — A deceased man's family has filed a wrongful death claim against Northshore University Health System; Northshore University Healthsystem Faculty Practice Associates; Northshore University Healthsystem Foundation; Northshore Physician Associates Inc.; Cecilia Cruz, M.D.; and Tina R. Desai, M.D., alleging negligence in medical care.
Maria Stamatopoulos, special administratror of the estate of Alexander Stamatopoulos, filed a complaint on Jan. 23 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to proper provide proper medical care to Alexander Stamatopoulos.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Stamatopoulos suffered ill-being that was not diagnosed and treated properly. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to timely evaluate Stamatopoulos' health condition and provide the necessary treatment.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Bryan Hofeld of Hofeld and Schaffner in Chicago.
