CHICAGO — A representative of a deceased man's estate has filed a wrongful death claim against Lexington Health Care Center of La Grange and two nurses, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Simon Symeonides, independent executor of the estate of Chris Gabrielides, filed a complaint on Jan. 23 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to provide proper care to Gabrielides.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Gabrielides fell and sustained a traumatic brain injury that contributed to his death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate assistance to Gabrielides to address his risk of falling and to properly evaluate his overall health condition after the fall.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for all damages. He is represented by Jason M. Kroot of Goldberg Weisman Cairo in Chicago.
