Man claims negligence in dental care caused need for further procedures, expenses

CHICAGO — A patient is suing over allegations that improper dental care led to injuries and expenses.

Richard Griffin filed a complaint on Feb. 1 in the Cook County Circuit Court against James V. D'Alise, DDS, and his practice, which does business as A Center for Dental Implants,along with related corporate entities, alleging negligence in dental care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he experienced pain and monetary damages from being forced to undergo additional dental procedures after the defendants allegedly failed to properly evaluate and treat his conditions, which purportedly included peri-implant disease.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000, plus court cost. He is represented by Anthony E. Blumberg & Associates LLC in Chicago.
