CHICAGO — A truck driver is suing Soo Line Railroad Company, which does business as Canadian Pacific Railway, and two railroad employees, alleging negligence in connection with a collision.

Ninos Chako filed a complaint on Feb. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging a train was operated at unreasonable speed when the tractor-trailer he was driving was struck by a train in a railroad yard on Feb. 12, 2015, causing him serious injuries. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for alleged negligence in the operation of the train, operating the train too fast and failing to decrease speed to avoid the collision.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. He is represented by Mark C. Murmane of O'Connor & Nakos, Ltd. in Chicago.
