CHICAGO — A family member is suing a South Holland nursing facility, alleging negligence in the treatment of a patient.

Lori Chapman, as administrator of the estate of Georgia Chapman, filed a lawsuit Feb. 7 in Cook County Circuit Court against Windmill Nursing Pavilion, Dynamic Healthcare Inc., and three nurses, alleging failure to provide proper care to Georgia Chapman.

According to the complaint, Chapman experienced pain from having developed pressure sores while at Windmill Nursing Pavilion, which eventually led to her death in March 2015. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to provide adequate supervision to Chapman to prevent the development of the ulcers.

Lori Chapman seeks judgment in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court. She is represented by attorney Jacqueline Kanter of Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz in Chicago.
