Medical malpractice 04

CHICAGO — A representative of a deceased woman's estate has filed a wrongful death claim against John A. Shanley, M.D.; Critical Care Physicians of Illinois LLC; Ankit Shah, M.D.; Northwest Heart and Vascular Specialists LLC; NCH Medical Group; and Northwest Community Hospital, alleging negligence in medical care.

Janet K. Carter, executor of the estate of Bonnie J. Williams, filed a complaint on Feb. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to Williams.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Williams suffered severe bleeding following a medical procedure, contributing to her death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for alleged errors that caused bleeding that led to Williams' death.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Deborah A. Alroth of Cirignani Heller & Harman, LLP in Chicago.
