CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased woman's estate has filed a wrongful death claim against a Highland Park CVS Pharmacy and a pharmacist, alleging negligence in the dispensing of a medication.

Doreen Harig, as independent administrator of the estate of Mary Joan Lang, filed a complaint on Feb. 6 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to provide the proper medication for Lang.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Lang received a drug, identified as warfarin, in the wrong dosage, contributing to her death.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000, plus court costs. She is represented by Kevin W. O'Connor of O'Connor Law Firm, Ltd. in Chicago.
