CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased woman's estate has filed a wrongful death claim against Alden-Wentworth Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center Inc., alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Felicia McDonald, as independent administrator of the estate of Ernestine Lewis, filed a complaint on Feb. 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against Alden-Wentworth, alleging the nursing facility failed to provide proper care to Lewis.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Lewis suffered a fall that contributed to her death because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to address Lewis' risk of falling.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount to satisfy the jurisdictional requirements of this court, and any further relief this court grants.
