Oak Forest Health Center, others accused of failing to diagnose diabetes

CHICAGO — A patient is suing the Oak Forest Health Center; the Cook County Health and Hospitals System; Chukwemeka Ezike, M.D.; and Gozi Medical and Occupational Health Ltd., alleging the health care providers were negligent in failing to diagnose him with diabetes.

Larry Parker filed a complaint on Feb. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to provide him with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages when the defendants allegedly failed to recognize the signs of diabetes and provide adequate treatment.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000, plus court costs. He is represented by Patrick J. Condron of Susan E. Loggans & Associates, P.C. in Chicago.
