CHICAGO — A Chicago woman is suing a property restoration business, alleging its negligence damaged her hearing.

Rekha Ramakrishna filed a complaint Feb. 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against Belfor Property Restoration, Frank and Vera Clark and Related Midwest, alleging her hearing was damaged from loud air movers and dehumidifiers in her condominium.

According to the complaint, in February 2015, Ramakrishna was injured from being exposed to loud and unsafe levels of noise in her Chicago condo in the 1200 block of S. Prairie Ave.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to warn her of the dangers from being exposed to loud noises, leaving her with tinnitus.

Ramakrishna seeks judgment greater than $50,000, plus court costs. She is represented by attorney I. Peter Polansky of Polansky & Cichon in Chicago.
