CHICAGO — A patient who had both her lower legs amputated due to gangrene is suing multiple health-care providers, alleging negligence in her care.

Aurelius Snow filed a complaint Feb. 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against multiple doctors, University of Chicago Hospital, Northshore Highland Park Hospital and Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers, alleging they failed to provide her with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, Snow received inadequate care in connection with her diabetes. The plaintiff alleges the defendants, in various ways, bear responsibility for not providing care that would have adequately addressed her illness.

Snow seeks judgment that exceeds $50,000, plus court costs. She is represented by attorney Larry M. Amoni of Amoni Law Offices PC in Aurora.
