Man alleges nursing facility didn't provide timely pneumonia treatment

CHICAGO — A woman's family is suing Harmony Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Inc., citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.

Peter Delgado, as independent administrator of the estate of Patrocinia Delgado, filed a complaint on Feb. 23 in Cook County Circuit Court against Harmony Nursing. alleging the facility failed to provide proper care to Patrocinia Delgado.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Delgado experienced pain from having developed pressure sores and pneumonia, which contributed to the deterioration of her health. The plaintiff holds the facility responsible because it allegedly failed to recognize the signs of pneumonia and provide timely treatment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount sufficient to satisfy the jurisdictional requirements of this court, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Jeffrey Schlapp of Schlapp Law Group LLC in Chicago.
