Niles Nursing and Rehabilitation Center allegedly failed to provide adequate help to patient

Medical malpractice 05

CHICAGO —  The administrator of a woman's estate is suing Niles Nursing and Rehabilitation Center LLC, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.

Cathy Dilles, as independent administrator of the estate of Sharon Chez, filed a complaint on Feb. 23 in Cook County Circuit Court against Niles Nursing and Rehabilitation Center alleging the facility failed to provide proper care to Chez.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Chez sustained physical injuries from developing pressure sores and from her skin breaking down. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly failed to provide adequate assistance to Chez to address her risk of developing pressure sores and respiratory distress.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount sufficient to satisfy the jurisdictional limits of this court, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Jeffrey Schlapp of Schlapp Law Group LLC in Chicago.
