CHICAGO — Executors of the estate of a deceased long-term care facility resident are suing the Moorings of Arlington Heights LLC, which does business as The Moorings Health Center and Presbyterian Homes Manager LLC, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to monitor and supervise the resident, who was allegedly prone to falling.

Patricia Kules and James Boeck, independent co-executors of the estate of Kathleen Boeck, filed a lawsuit on March 3 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging Kathleen Boeck suffered a fall in which she suffered a fractured right hip and a laceration on the back of her head that contributed to the deterioration of her health. The plaintiffs allege The Moorings failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to Boeck to address her risk of falling.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. They are represented by Susan L. Novosad and Caroleann S. Gallagher of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
