Belhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation allegedly failed to prevent pressure sores

CHICAGO — A patient's representative is suing Belhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries from pressure sores.

Thelma Moore, attorney in fact for TC Moore, filed a lawsuit on March 13 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the nursing facility failed to provide the patient with proper care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Moore developed pressure sores, and alleges the defendants failed to adequately supervise the patient to prevent the sores.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000, plus court costs. She is represented by Susan L. Novosad and Jacob D. Radecki of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
