Westchester Health and Rehabilitation Center allegedly failed to prevent pressure sores

CHICAGO — The estate administrator of a deceased patient is suing Westchester Health and Rehabilitation Center and SSC Equity Holding Company LLC for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent the development of pressure sores.

Rex Zordan, independent administrator of the estate of Sini Scott, filed a lawsuit on March 10 in the Cook County Circuit Court alleging the defendants failed to provide Scott with proper care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Scott experienced pain from having developed pressure sores, which contributed to the deterioration of his health. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly monitor Scott and treat his pressure sores.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Andrew J. Thut and Andrew R. Manno of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
