CHICAGO — A deceased woman's family is suing THC Chicago Inc., which does business as Kindred Hospital - Sycamore, Northern Illinois Medical Center, which does business as Centegra Hospital McHenry and Ballard Respiratory and Rehab for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent the patient from developing pressure ulcers.
Anthony Tripoli, independent administrator of the estate of Wendy Tripoli, filed a lawsuit on March 14 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the defendants failed to provide Wendy Tripoli with proper care.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Tripoli experienced pain from having developed pressure ulcers. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide the patient with adequate supervision and assistance to prevent the development of pressure ulcers.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Matthew I. Baker of Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
