NorthShore University HealthSystem accused of failing to timely diagnose cancer

CHICAGO — A patient is suing NorthShore University HealthSystem and Jeffrey A. Grinblatt M.D.for allegedly taking insufficient measures to timely diagnosis him with cancer after Grinblatt reportedly cancelled the analysis of a prostate screening without notifying the patient.

David L. Crane filed a lawsuit on March 14 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the defendants failed to provide him with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he sustained serious permanent injuries from not being timely diagnosed with cancer. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to diagnose and provide treatment for his condition in a timely manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000, plus court costs. He is represented by Joseph A. Power Jr. of Power Rogers & Smith LLP in Chicago.
