CHICAGO — The administrator for the estate of a deceased patient is suing Union Health Service Inc., Advocate Medical Group, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and Cameron Haery, a doctor, for allegedly inserting a catheter improperly into the patient, causing hemorrhaging which allegedly led to the patient's death.
Kristina Naesediene, independent administrator of the estate of Romualdas Asmontas, filed a lawsuit on March 15 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the defendants failed to provide Asmontas with proper medical care.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Asmontas sustained serious physical injuries after a catheter was inserted too high, which caused internal bleeding and hemorrhaging that allegedly led to his death.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for funeral expenses and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Nicholas V. Loizzi of Loizzi Law Offices LLC in Chicago.
