Presence Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital allegedly failed to prevent pressure sores

CHICAGO — An administrator for the estate of a deceased patient is suing Presence Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital and Kindred - Chicago Central Hospital for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent the patient from developing pressure sores.

Teidru Davenport, independent administrator of the estate of John Heard, filed a lawsuit on March 22 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the defendants failed to provide Heard with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Heard experienced pain caused by pressure sores. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise Heard to prevent the development of pressure sores.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Susan L. Novosad and Jacob Radecki of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
