Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service Inc. allegedly failed to prevent patient from falling off stretcher

CHICAGO — A former patient is suing Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service Inc. for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent him from falling off a stretcher while being moved to a hospital bed.

Omega Jones filed a lawsuit on March 22 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the defendant failed to properly assist him while he was being moved.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he sustained a fractured hip on Dec. 24, 2011, when he fell from the stretcher. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to provide competent employees to assist him while he was being moved from the stretcher.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $30,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Corey E. Meyer of Law Offices of Meyer and Blumenshine in Chicago.
