CHICAGO — A former employee is suing Mu Sigma Inc. and Dhiraj C. Rajaram, the company's founder, for alleged breach of contract.

Rangan Bandyopadhyay filed a lawsuit on March 29 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the defendants failed to issue stock certificates to him upon his purchase of the shares.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he purchased shares, but was never issued any stock certificates for them. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly offering to repurchase the plaintiff's shares and wire transferring the money back to his personal bank account without the plaintiff having agreed to sell the shares.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for amounts due and interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Timothy Tomasik and Patrick J. Giese of Tomasik Kotin Kasserman LLC in Chicago.
