Former DV Trading employees allegedly breached contract

CHICAGO — A Chicago trading firm is suing former employees Brendan O'Connor and Michael Curto and their current employer, Burma Road Trading Inc., for alleged breach of contract and fraud.

DV Trading LLC filed a lawsuit on March 31 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the defendants replicated its business for their benefit.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges it sustained damages from having its confidential information given to its competitors. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly breaching their contractual agreement with the plaintiff by giving its confidential information to its competitors.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory and punitive damages, all legal fees and any further relief the court grants. DV Trading is represented by Seth A. Stern of Funkhouser Vegosen Liebman & Funn Ltd. in Chicago.
