Contract 08

CHICAGO — A couple is suing Urban Rooftops LLC, of Chicago, citing alleged breach of contract for failing to adequately complete work on a home renovation project.

Sharon Powills and Nicholas Powills filed a complaint on March 30 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the company completed unsatisfactory work on a home project it is performing for the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege they sustained financial damages from the defendant's inability to complete the work in question and physical damages their home sustained in the course of the work. The plaintiffs holds Urban Rooftops responsible because it allegedly failed to provide a detailed description of the work being performed on the plaintiff's property.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Robert J. Trizna and Teresa A. Minnich of Robbins Salomon & Patt Ltd. in Chicago.
