CHICAGO — The administrator of an estate is suing Belhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Infinity Healthcare Management of Illinois LLC, a nursing facility, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.

Rodney Knockum, as independent administrator of the estate of Ruth Parker, filed a complaint on March 30 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper care to Ruth Parker.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Parker experienced pain from having developed pressure sores. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to Parker to prevent her from having pressure sores and should have known she was at risk of developing the condition.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Jordan S. Powell and Andrew R. Manno of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
