Amputee injured in fall claims hospital staff failed to support him

CHICAGO — A patient is suing Alexian Brothers Medical Center and Amita Health Alexian Brothers Rehabilitation Hospital, Elk Grove Village, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence after he fell and suffered injuries.

Kevin Tucker filed a complaint on March 30 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he experienced pain from suffering a fall which led to an injury to his right leg, which has been amputated below the knee. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly assist the plaintiff while he was receiving rehabilitative treatment at their facility.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by the Law Office of Scott B. Wolfman & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
