Woman says stable owner responsible for injuries suffered after falling off horse

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Forest View Farms, a stable operator, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to protect her from falling off a horse.

Christine Freeberg filed a complaint on April 6 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the defendant failed to provide proper assistance to the plaintiff while training her to ride a horse.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she sustained serious physical injuries to her head from falling off a horse. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because he allegedly failed to provide proper training to his employees.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Steven M. Gleason of Nilson, Stookal, Gleason & Caputo Ltd. in Chicago.
