CHICAGO — A woman's family is suing Blue Island Hospital Company LLC, which operates Metrosouth Medical Center, and numerous hospital staff, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.
Patricia Izguerra, as independent administrator of the estate of Michele Izguerra filed a complaint on April 7 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they failed to provide proper medical care to Michele Izguerra.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Izguerra sustained serious physical injuries due to the staff's negligence. The plaintiff holds Blue Island Hospital Company and its named employees responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to remove or replace a medical device and properly evaluate and document critical radiographic findings for Izguerra, who died at the facility in May 2015.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $30,000. She is represented by Andrew Fink of Solis Law Firm in Cicero.
