Medical malpractice 07

CHICAGO — The administrator of an estate is suing Southpoint Nursing and Rehabilitation Center LLC, which does business as Southpoint Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Infinity Healthcare Management of Illinois LLC, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.

Rose Thomas, as independent administrator of the estate of Lois Thomas, filed a complaint on April 11 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper care to Lois Thomas.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Thomas experienced pain from having developed pressure sores. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide proper attention and assistance to Thomas to prevent the development of the sores.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Jamie A. Koziol and Megan M. Shore of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
